1. Who we are

Opti Loyer ("we," "our") provides advisory and negotiation services for rental income optimization in Quebec. This policy explains how we handle the personal information of visitors to our site and of people who contact us, in accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25, Quebec) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA, Canada).

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information you provide voluntarily, mainly through our forms (free audit, kit download, getting in touch):

• Contact details: name, email, phone number.
• Information about your property: address (optional), number of units, description of your situation.
• Calculator data: current rent, target rent and other figures you enter voluntarily to obtain an estimate — this data is only transmitted if you submit the associated form.
• Basic technical data: standard logging by our host (IP address, browser type) for security and proper operation of the site.

We never request sensitive financial information (card number, banking details) through our forms.

3. Why we use it

• Respond to your request and provide the audit or kit you asked for.
• Assess the optimization potential of your property.
• Follow up with you about our services, if you requested it.
• Improve our site and our communications.

We do not use your information for purposes other than those for which it was collected, except with your consent or where required by law.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We rely on service providers (subcontractors) to operate the site and deliver emails, including:

• Cloudflare — site hosting, form processing and, where applicable, email routing.
• A transactional email delivery service, where applicable, to send you your kit or your audit.

These providers only have access to the information needed to provide the service and are required to protect it.

5. Retention of information

We keep your information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or in accordance with the timeframes set by law. You may request the deletion of your information at any time by writing to us at [email protected].

6. Hosting and transfer outside Quebec

Our site is hosted on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. This means your information may be processed or temporarily stored outside Quebec. We take reasonable measures to ensure that this information receives adequate protection, wherever it is processed.

7. Cookies and audience measurement

Our site uses no tracking cookies by default. If we enable Google Analytics to better understand how the site is used, a banner will ask for your explicit consent before any cookie is placed — you can accept or decline, and your choice is respected. Browsers configured with "Do Not Track" will never see this banner or any audience measurement.

8. Security

We apply reasonable security measures (HTTPS site encryption, security headers, restricted access) to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access. No system, however, is 100% foolproof.

9. Your rights

In accordance with Law 25 and PIPEDA, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
• Withdraw your consent to its use, at any time.
• Request the deletion of your information, subject to our legal obligations.
